Disney CEO Bob Chapek recently had something to say to animation fans at a Live Tech conference.
The Disney bigwig was quoted as saying:
"Our fans and audiences put their kids to bed at night after watching Pinocchio, Dumbo or Little Mermaid, then they’re probably not going to tune in to another animated movie, they want something for them."
So, the head dude at Disney, the world's greatest animation house, thinks that adults only watch animated stuff because their kids like it.
To say that's grossly and dramatically wrong, not to mention a massive insult to adult fans of animation is an understatement. I've heard crap like that all my life, but I never thought I'd hear it from someone who earns a living selling animation to fans like me. What a dick.
