Ed Asner. Even Death Can't Keep A Great Voice Actor Down.

This summer, Disney will release "Elemental" in theatres.  It's an opposites attract love story about characters made of fire and water who somehow fall in love.  Whether it's great or terrible, it will have something special going for it that might actually get my fat ass back into a theatre.

Carl's Date, a short film starring Ed Asner as the lovable curmudgeon from Pixar's UP will be playing with Elemental and I can't bloody wait.  It's a story about Carl's first date since the death of his wife, Ellie.  Asner recorded the dialog for the short before he died and I'm betting it'll be awesome.  One of the co-writer and co-directors of the original film has written and directed this, so I'm on board.

The full story is here if you like.

I've said it before and I'll say it again.  Ed Asner will kill this.

Talent doesn't die if it's remembered.
