Encouraging News About Hellboy...

So, the soon to be released Hellboy reboot got its rating from the uptight bunch that decide if your kids can cope with a movie or not.

Hellboy will star David Harbour (personally, not a clue who this guy is, but he's built like a superhero and looks awesome in the Hellboy get-up), with Milla Jovovich as Nimue the Blood Queen (always liked her, ever since she wore the Band-Aid outfit in that Bruce Willis movie), Ian McShane as Trevor Brutteholm director of the agency and Hellboy’s adoptive father (oh, if you have to recast a John Hurt classic role, McShane is a great way to go), Daniel Dae Kim as Ben Daimio (not enough of a fan to know the character, but I loved Kim in LOST and Hawaii Five-0 and actually would have cast him as Aquaman once upon a time) among others.  It looks like fun in general.

The good news I speak of is the ratings decision.  April 12 will see the release of an R rated Hellboy, so tagged for "strong bloody violence and gore throughout, and language".  Sounds like a Deadpool-esque romp to me.  Hopefully.

See you in the theater, folks!

David Harbour is one of the stars of Stranger things, which, if you haven't seen, well, then I can't help you.

ps, this blog is highly exclusive. I had to prove not once, not twice, not three or four, but FIVE times that I am not a robot, making this not only a frustrating process but also one which is arguably discriminatory against robots, which I'm sure they will remember and not look back kindly upon in the coming Robot Wars.

Sorry, B. The prove you're not a robot thing is equally frustrating here. Not my call.

I, for one, believe that you could probably pass a Turing test. Eventually.
