This week's Star Trek Discovery finale.
Seriously lovely. Visually stunning, well acted, a nice season ending send off.
Plenty of action. Lots of shaky camera. Lots of Georgio, which always makes everything better.
Dude playing Pike, gal playing Number One, even dude playing Spock are pretty darned good.
But seriously.
Eminent death. Countdown clocks. Super Kill Bot fleet about to pop out of hyperspace and wipe y'all out.
And all this urgency doesn't make you put your personal shit on hold? Seriously. So much talking about our feelings when the Sword of Damocles is in haircut range. Everybody. Even the Vulcan and the raised by Vulcan hero Burnham. Talking about their feelings.
In my humble opinion, you could edit all those bits of dialogue out and make this show MORE Star Trek. It's maddening to have to sit through so much...gush. Get to the good stuff already.
