A very short entry tonight, just to make it official.
I have decided that after more than a decade away from it, it is time to once again throw my hat into the ring of crazy that is the 3 Day Novel Contest.
I registered tonight.
As per the rules, I've been working up a short outline of my book.
My first novel, Bred In The Bone and it's non-published, less that happy with it sequel, An Oath As Strong As Bone were intended as a trilogy and I may yet get there. Not this year though.
This time around, I'm going a whole other direction. I'm planning a sci-fi murder mystery. I can't tell you much more than that because the rules are that I can't write any of it until midnight on September 3. So that's all you get for now.
I'd say wish me luck but I'm committing to writing a NOVEL in THREE DAYS, Probably more useful to wish me sanity.

Sad news indeed. But at least one good thing emerges from it; we all now know that Lt. Uhura actually had a first name.
It kinda worried me that a comment under my declaration of entering the 3 Day Novel contest began "Sad news indeed."
Hopefully just posted on the wrong article, not one comment on each...
Yep, sorry about that big guy. I meant to post in the Lt. Uhura section. I guess I'm out of practice since the sad demise of The Purple Hatch (R.I.P.)
