Mystery Incorporated Fan Series

Here's something I had no idea existed. Thanks to ScoobySnax.com I can share it here.

I haven't watched "Riverdale" as a CW version of Archie made me a little queasy as a concept, but the comments online suggest that this is superior to it despite being a fan made show.  I will say that this single episode is actually better than I would have expected a CW Scooby-Doo adaptation to be.  The acting and production values don't AT ALL come across like a fan made show.

There's a really nifty set up for a season long arc that flows right out of the original Scooby-Doo, Where Are You cartoon from 1969 with the darker, more "real" mysticism of more recent versions of the characters.  The Scooby Gang are all really well cast and Scooby himself is an awesome (real) Great Dane who (so far at least) doesn't actually talk.  Tons of fan service with a whole bunch of Scooby Easter Eggs.  Worth finding an hour to sit through it, for sure and I can see some fans preferring this version to the live action movies.

The intent is apparently to fund a full series but as with many of these ambitious fan led efforts, so far there is only a pilot episode.

I have seen one fan project go the distance but whether or not Mystery Inc. can follow in Star Trek Continues footsteps remains to be seen.

It looks like it'd be worthwhile if the project can sustain itself and produce a "full" season of shows.  It'll be a fun ride if they can pull it off.
