Terrible news out of Hollywood today.
The greatest Batman actor in history has died of cancer at 66.
Batman will never be this good again.
For all the money that's been thrown at actors, directors, costumes and special effects in the quest for a great on screen Batman, none of it has or ever will be as good as Kevin Conroy behind a microphone.
Conroy is survived by his husband, Vaughn C. Williams and all of us who loved his talent.
Fuck.

Kevin Conroy's death has had more consequence than just being devastating to fans like myself.
In the ALWAYS contentious comment sections of EVERY comic book and superhero site I visit, the praise for him is universal and unanimous. I have never seen anything like it. Comic book and superhero fans are notoriously divided about everything and absolutely revel in any chance to pick a fight over the smallest thing. Cape's too short, movie's too dark, character's too light, actor's wrong for the role, director's wrong for the project and on and on and on.
Not today. It seems that Kevin Conroy being the greatest Batman, past, present and future is the one thing that we all agree on.
Not one dissenting comment. Anywhere.
