So. Much. Talking.
Note to show runners for season 2. Try making a show about super powered beings (tough to call these two heroes, at least just yet) exciting. I get you were trying to make it interesting but for heaven's sake you have a teleporter who can touch telepath peoples' fears and a light dagger wielding gal who can touch telepath peoples' hopes and you spend 40 minutes of every 42 minute episode on chit-chat and angst.
I get that you have a limited budget. I do.
Spend more time on adventure and action and less on drama and exposition.
And on a personal note, is it too much to ask that just once a teenager gets powers and enjoys them? Look at the last Spider-Man flick. Fun was had by the lead character and the city was still saved and the bad guy still got taken down.
Sure, Cloak and Dagger are a darker property but can you seriously imagine that a 16 or 17 year old kid wouldn't have fun with the ability to teleport? Light daggers might be less fun inducing but seriously, teleportation. Massive fun potential there. If I'm show runner, having the dark, cloak wearing character be all chipper and fun while the light wielding character is all broody wouldn't have been a half bad way to play this show.
And seriously. Episode 7 of ten before our first real team up fight? Jeez.
So. Much. Talking.
