Sad news today as it was reported that Howard Hesseman has died.
He had a long career on television and in film, mostly as a character actor rather than the lead. You can hardly name a sitcom or drama that aired from the mid 70s to the early 90s that he didn't have a guest shot on.
In the mid-80s he played a teacher on the hit show Head of the Class and I remember really liking that show back then. Pretty sure the tall redhead in his class had something to do with that...
Of course, Hesseman is best and most fondly remembered for four spectacular seasons on WKRP in Cincinnati as morning drivetime DJ, Doctor Johnny Fever.
To this day, his part in that show is among the great performances in comedy history. The show stands up all these years later and is always a hoot to rewatch.
From all us fellow babies, you will be missed, Doctor.
Oh yeah. I almost forgot, fellow babies...
BOOGER!
