It's Not Fair To Compare...

...but nobody ever said blogs were fair.

Episode 6 of Lord of the Rings - Rings of Power.

Basically 45 minutes of AWESOME battle, as good (if more intimate) than anything Peter Jackson did in the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit movies, followed by a tense interrogation and a little "will they, won't they" moment that's been simmering for a while.  Plus a pretty damned big deal reveal, at least to the characters on screen.  Then the villain's real plot is revealed and all hell (okay, Mordor) breaks loose, quite literally.  Quite simply a fantastic hour of High Fantasy television.

Episode 6 of House of the Dragon.

An hour of veiled threats and whispers about the paternity of the children of the Princess.

I'd have bet big money on my preferring House of the Dragon to Rings of Power.  I can admit being wrong every once in a while.

And entirely, totally bored by House of the Dragon thus far.
