Back To Hero Forge

Certain places just draw one back again and again.  Websites are no different.

I hadn't been to Hero Forge in an age, but in my travels this week, my version of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles With Pants popped into my head and I got to thinking that not only does the next iteration of the Turtles need pants, it needs gender bending too.

So.

Here are my NEW Teenage Mutant Lady Turtles.  Even more than the boys, I thought it important that they get personalities and individualized looks.  These are new characters, created by me and likely never to see any fame or fortune, but I love 'em.  They're an homage to Michelangelo, Donatello, Raphael and Leonardo, but they're not just female versions of them.  I've crafted a personality that lines up with their looks as I created them at Hero Forge.

Aurora.  The sunshine of the group, always happy and ready to hand out hugs and joy.  When things get tough, out come her trusty haladie, a middle eastern dual bladed short scimitar that she expertly wields in a pair.  Think a majorette's baton, but way more lethal.

She is also the group's medic, known affectionately as "Doctoraura"

Athena.  The brains and the brawn in one squat, lovely package.  She's the tech head and group's head geek, but also the first one to jump into a fight and loves nothing better than a good brawl.  Her weapon of choice is her brain, but when she needs a blade, she chooses chakram as they offer both close in and ranged attack options.

Call her a bookworm at your peril.

Aphrodite.  The fashion plate and girls' girl of the group.  Pretty in pink, always photo ready, Aphrodite is more interested in the runway than the dojo.  Still, her sisters have a nose for trouble and she's an expert with her whips when trouble comes calling.

Her every move is set to music.

Artemis.  The leader of the pack.  Tatted, pierced and full of attitude, Artemis the rebel is also the responsible older sister.  Her two sides are constantly at war, constantly vying for dominance.  She wields a dual scimitar staff, somewhat symbolically.

In a moment of weakness, she adopted an abandoned penguin.
Named him "Fang".

Sliver.  Den mother, Sensei and spiritual guide for the ladies as they navigate the difficult life that is being a Teenager, a Mutant, a Young Woman and a Turtle with Ninja skills in a world that will never understand or accept them for who and what they are.  Sharing a similar mutant backstory and having cared for the four baby turtles that fell into her lap soon after her own transformation, Sliver is a fierce mother figure and a stern teacher and mentor.  Don't be fooled by the eye patch and the limp.  There's steel in the gaze and a blade in the cane.

And, hey, she's a fox.

Man, I need to find some money and get a few of these printed.
