I reported that a favourite of mine, The Nevers, had been cancelled in the midst of the WB implosion late last year.
It turns out that reports of its demise were premature.
While the first 6 episodes of awesome had aired and even made it to DVD, the last 6 had at last report been unceremoniously cancelled despite being mapped out and a season order made.
It seems that ROKU/TUBI have somehow picked up the whole 12 episode season and will air the last 6 episodes for fans after all. Obviously things were a lot further along than just "mapped out in the writers room" when the axe fell.
YES! I love this show and getting to see the whole season will be great. According to reports, the show runner is saying that they got a "satisfyingly cathartic" ending. The only sad part is that this season is the only one and we won't get to see what these "X-Men in petticoats" would have done over a longer run.
The 12 episodes are set to air between February 13th to the 15th and then go into TUBI's regular rotation and be aired again March 1st to 3rd.
Now if only they'd commit to a Season 1 Part 2 DVD set to fill the gap in my collection...
Sometimes it's actually awesome to be proven wrong.
