Felicity Smoak Gets Into The Ring!

One thing that actress Emily Bett Rickards didn't do a whole lot of in her tenure on Arrow was fight. She had a few comedic punch ups and did occasionally defend herself, but most of her contributions to the hero story were cerebral rather than physical. 

Judging by the photo below and the trailer that follows, she might be kinda trying to make up for that these days.  Somebody's puttin' on a gun show!

 

I mean, damn! She's JACKED!

It appears Ms. Rickards got in shape for the upcoming film, Queen of the Ring.  Not my cuppa tea, really, as I'm not a huge wrestling fan.  To see her in action, I'll find a couple of hours to put my eyeballs on it. 

 

For a wrestling film, it doesn't look bad.

As a fan of Arrow, despite all of its flaws, and a fan Ms. Rickards Felicity Smoak character, despite all of her flaws, I sincerely hope that someone sees her physique and what looks like a solid perfomance in Queen of the Ring and finds a superhero role for her to embody.

After years behind the scenes as the team's tech support sorceress, it looks to me that Emily Bett Rickards is ready to break out as a hero (or maybe a villain!) in her own right.  I hope Hollywood is paying attention.
