Now THAT's Impressive.

Over at one of my regular clicks, they compiled a VERY impressive list.

It's a list of all the films that Stan Lee was involved with from the Marvel machine.  His involvement was usually as a producer or executive producer and often included a creator credit.  Hell, most of the list also included a cameo by the man himself.

The list includes figures for older movies adjusted for inflation.  It works out to about 10% extra on the total but even the unadjusted figures are SPECTACULAR.

The list lacks a couple of titles I'm pretty sure Stan had a hand in (Dolph Lungren's Punisher and the 1990s Captain America bomb)  along with all the television (animated and live action) shows that he championed and often narrated.  Still, it's something to see just how much one man's contribution can add up.

Not bad for a guy who changed his name to "Stan Lee" to save his real name for the more "serious" work he hoped to do one day when writing comic books was behind him.

I'd say that 30+ BILLION dollars, the creator credit on a dozen or more of the most famous fictional characters of all time, global fame and the adoration of millions of fans around the world more than equates to being the author of "The Great American Novel" that Stan once aspired to be.
