Had my second vaccination shot on Tuesday.
I'm one of the lucky ones who didn't react at all to the first shot. Had a very minor headache the next day but Advil took care of it and that was the end of it.
The second dose was a little rougher. I had the shot in the morning and twelve hours later, my left arm felt like I'd pitched 9 long innings and forgot to ice down my arm when I was done. It hurt so much I had a hard time sleeping. By morning it was only half as bad and by the end of the day it was only hurting if I put real pressure on it or bumped up against something.
Going to bed last night I got hit with sudden pain on both sides of my neck, close to the shoulders.  It is pretty much okay now but still twinges every so often.  One of the weirdest pain sensations I've ever experienced.
A day and a half of muscle aches and pains is more than tolerable if it means that we're on our way back to a more normal, functional world.
None of the other side effects I've heard warnings about have come to pass. If I'm being tracked via the vaccine, someone is being paid to watch me watch tv and clean my kitchen, so they're even more bored than I am. I have yet to attract any keys to my forehead and I for one am disappointed that I have yet to develop my magnetic super-powers. What has happened is that my body is now equipped much better to battle this fucking virus and that's pretty cool.
And still no bloody lollipop!
